If a beach holiday is not your thing, you can do water sports in the Mediterranean or on the Olympic Canal, built especially for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Schools and sports clubs educate beginners and support professionals.

The Castell de Fels castle gave its name to the town and is therefore a must-see. There are picture-postcard views from there, so take a camera and selfie stick with you.
Garraf Park is another place worth a visit. The fresh air and natural colours will have a beneficial effect on the body at any time of year, and the Buddhist monastery at the heart of the park will cleanse your karma, if you believe in it.
Popular festivals in Castelldefels
The town’s residents and guests know how to have fun, so any time of year you can get into a party. One of our favourites is the Fiestas del Mar in mid-July, with a dramatized pirate disembarkation. And then there are the fiestas of San Jordi and Castañada, Carnival, the summer and winter Fiestas Majores, two Christmas Cavalcatas and dozens of smaller fiestas. You will definitely not get bored.
